Chilly Pepper - Miracle Mustang

Hi My name is Chilly Pepper and I am Shingletown's MIRACLE MUSTANG. I survived for approximately 3 days by myself in the snow and cold, alone and vulnerable to any and all predators.

I was born on the Wild Horse Sanctuary in Shingletown, California. My mom got sick and died after she gave birth to me. It was snowing and cold and I was alone and terribly frightened. By the time my rescuers arrived, I had spent (approximately) 2 nights laying beside my dead, cold mommy. I snuggled up against her, but she was cold and didn't smell good like she did when I was first born. She was warm and snuggly and gave me warm milk to drink. After she died, there was no more of that, only a cold and stiff, not talking to me mom. So I was all by myself, covered in snow and pretty much freezing. I was thirsty and hungry and couldn't even lift up my head.

Then everything changed again..... Two volunteers on the ranch came and picked me up and took me home and got me warmed up and fed me. They took me to the doctor and I had medicine and lots of love and a warm living room to live in. Thus is the beginning of my life.
